Royal Family on Display

Saturday May 6, 2006
Portraits of King Henry VIII of England, his third wife Jane Seymour and their son, the future King Edward VI, by Hans Holbein will be shown at London’s Tate Gallery this summer. What’s unusual is that, although each of the pictures are well known, by the same artist and of heavily connected people, they haven’t been displayed together as a ‘family’ for over five hundred years. It may be our only chance to view them together. There is more information at the Tate’s website.
