Marie Antoinette Finally Accepted

It's been over two hundred years since the French populace first reviled and then executed Marie Antoinette but, according to this article from an Australian news source, French culture has rediscovered their ex-Queen in a big way.

I doubt the veracity of your conclusion. Her latest cinematic biography to be released stateside soon was utterly reviled at the Cannes Film Festival. The French HATED it. And so did the critics.

I was under the impression people disliked the film because of the style it’s made in (the use of modern music for instance) and the take on Marie, rather than any antipathy toward the queen herself.
