This week Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom became the oldest reigning monarch in the nation’s history, beating the previous record set by Queen Victoria, who died aged 81 years, seven months, four weeks and one day on Jan 22, 1901. However, the current queen still has several years to go before being the longest reigning monarch.
