Thieves stopped from stealing WW2 tank.

Saturday December 29, 2007
Over the years I’ve heard lots about the theft of historical items for resale on the black market, largely antiquities, but until now I’d never heard of anyone stealing a tank. However, this week three people were arrested in Bulgaria and charged with attempting to steal a twenty-five tonne Panzer Mk IV tank, known in history as one of Nazi Germany’s main weapons. The tank had been reused during the Cold War as part of a chain of artillery, and is worth over $60,000 to collectors.
