"The Greatest Mistake in British History"
Saturday February 16, 2008
This week the Times Online newspaper asked the question ‘What was the Greatest Mistake in British History’, first to writers of their newspaper and then to readers, who were invited to post their own thoughts in the comments section. Many replied and the answers range from the somewhat bizarre (Stonehenge as great mistake?), through the obvious (First World War) to the heavily political (Joining the EU). I found the results interesting, if sometimes infuriating.
