Aneurin Bevan: British Icon?

icWales has published a passionate defence of Aneurin Bevan, the man more than any other responsible for the creation of Britain’s National Health Service (where healthcare is free to all), but whose reputation has been dulled over recent decades. He isn’t to be confused with another British politician and leading figure of early Cold War history for the same era, Ernest Bevin.
