New Insight into Anglo-Saxon England?
Friday August 15, 2008
I feel there is some exaggeration going on in this news story, and I’m not alone as one of the experts also plays down the use of the word “apartheid” to describe Anglo-Saxon society, a word with modern connotations. Even so, I still found this thinking about how Anglo-Saxon settlers, which historians now believe represented only a small proportion of the British population, came to dominate the existing peoples most interesting.
