Google Returns to Ancient Rome

Saturday November 15, 2008
Google have added a new "layer" to Google Earth. Now you can take a virtual tour of the entire city as historians believe it may have looked c.320 CE, with all the important buildings in the right place, some with their interiors available for viewing. Key areas are supported by explanatory text. Google currently have a demo video for people to view before downloading Google Earth, and the layer is available now.
