Photo Study finds more History

You might think that, being a heavily populated island, Britain’s historical sites are all well known, but the truth is they’re not. For example, archaeologists have just finished a study of over 30,000 aerial photographs taken near Hadrian’s Wall and discovered over 2,500 new sites of archaeological interest, ranging from ancient burial mounds to relatively modern lead mines, and that’s just in a narrow strip across Britain. Much more remains hidden.
