While we have an excellent Guide to dinosaurs, I did want to mention the following news story because of the European link, and because I’ve actually been to the place mentioned: Dr Steve Sweetman, of the UK’s University of Portsmouth, has discovered 48 new species of dinosaur in just four years by searching on the Isle of Wight, a small (and eroding) island off the coast of Britain. The Isle is regarded as one of Europe’s dinosaur hotspots for the fossils which can be found there, and Dr. Sweetman, who grew up on the island, is considered an expert in his field.
