Russia Tries to Re-Write History

Saturday June 13, 2009
Further evidence has emerged of Russia trying to rewrite the history of the Second World War. An essay posted by the Russian Defence Ministry on its website claims (translations taken from the Daily Telegraph online): Anyone who has been minded to study the history of the Second World War knows it started because of Poland's refusal to meet Germany's requests…The German demands were very modest. You could hardly call them unfounded…” This is, quite frankly, astonishing. It’s well known that Germany’s leader, Hitler, craved an empire in Eastern Europe to create what was termed ‘Living Room’ for Germans. The demands Hitler made of Poland were designed to instigate war, and more would have followed had Poland given in. Instead Poland refused, Germany invaded on September 1 1939, and then Russia also invaded Poland and nearby Baltic nations. This action is, perhaps, what Russia is trying to obfuscate, especially as they wish to legislate that anybody who claims Russia occupied these regions should be imprisoned. So just to make clear, Russia not only occupied Poland and Baltic regions in 1939, they did so after the Second World War too.

By comparison to Russia’s conquests, it’s indeed a “modest request”…

Absolutely astonishing… Russia is a country ruled by corruption, dementia and fraud. I knew so. Now i’m just more certain of it.

Shows that Russia is back sliding, when trying to white wash history and also deny Katlin too.We must be keepers of history & must speak out so what is being washed - ” not to allow lies to become truth”!

If England and France declared war for Poland`s benifit why is it after the war Poland`s freedom didn`t seem to matter much.People all believe what they are fed. Please people investigate our history. This country has the greatest legacy of freedom in history. We are being sold out by Banksters and Politicians we deserve better

At least Germany has made some sort of attempt to admit war guilt. Russia on the other hand is in the middle of rehabilitating psychopath Stalin. Russia’s imperial ambitions are apparently not satisfied yet witness the Arctic land grab. I see future confrontations with the Bear.

I was a baby when they invaded Poland. However, as time has gone
whizzing by, we all aware of Russia and their “History.”
There is a saying that the winners write the history, and I sincerely
believe this, however, it is always interesting to read the “losers”
point of view. But in this case, I’ll wait another 70 years.
