The British government is changing its citizenship test to include more questions on British history, and this has prompted the Guardian to post a quiz. It's not the actual quiz people will take, but it's been provided by a publishing company who provide citizenship study guides. There are fifteen questions given, you'll need ten right to pass, and they don't charge the £50 fee. I'm fully aware it's a little bit of fun for me, but deadly serious to others.

As an American, I am proud to say that I passed your test! However, just barely. I goofed up on questions 1, 4, 7, 8 , and 14.
SPOILER ALERT! DON’T READ ANY FURTHER BEFORE TAKING THE TEST!!
Of those, the only one that I cannot excuse myself for is number 1. But I am surprised. Northern Ireland is NOT officially part of Great Britain? Interesting.
Ah! Great Britain is the ISLAND on which are located England, Scotland, and Wales (in alphabetical order!). Therefore, it’s the UNITED KINGDOM of Great Britain AND Northern Ireland.
I’ve got 12 over 15. I am from Chile and I like very much British history.
Best regards
P.S. I enjoy each of your newsletters. Thanks a lot for a good work!!
