1672: The Treaty of Buczacz divides parts of Poland between the Ottoman Empire and the Ukrainian Cossacks. Although Poland signs, it never ratifies the agreement.
1748: The Peace of Aachen ends the War of the Austrian Succession.
1922 The British Broadcasting Company BBC - is founded; later the last C is changed to mean Corporation.
