Gregorian Calendar

Definition: The modern western calendar, a replacement for the Julian Calendar. It was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in Rome on February 24th 1582 and adopted by the rest of Europe at different times over the following centuries.
Examples: The following dates have been adjusted to reflect the Gregorian Calendar.
