What does the film get right and wrong?

This film has so many inaccuracies it would be easier to list what is real: there was a William Wallace, he did fight in an uprising, he did get executed. That’s about all that’s accurate.

My Review

If you were to take this film as total fiction, then it would be excellent: some good battles, an underdog story and a refreshingly non Hollywood ending. There’s one massive problem: Braveheart is being sold to people as accurate history, and more worringly, people are believing it. The film is a total travesty of history, and is a major step back in merging films with anything even slightly accurate. A terrible movie for what it’s doing.
