Charge of the Polish Cavalry

Friday September 26, 2008
Polishnews.com has published an account of the “Last Great Charge of the Polish Cavalry”. Any guesses as to when this was? Well, the answer was actually 1939, against the invading German army. Interesting reading, if only for the anecdote about Russian Marshal Semion Budenny, who in 1967 still thought horse cavalry would be decisive in the next great war.
