A team of archaeologists have begun excavations in Hungary; they hope to discover the tomb of Suleiman I, ruler of the Ottoman Empire in the first half of the sixteenth century. Work is focusing around Szigetvar in the south of the country, near where Suleiman died during a siege. A Hungarian news source reports that the team are partly basing their search on maps drawn from a later era, complicating the process.
