1633: The first public sale of bananas in Britain.
1710: Copyright law starts in Britain.
1741: King Frederick the Great of Prussia defeats the forces of Austria's Archduchess Maria Theresa at Mollwitz, capturing Silesia.
1814: The Battle of Toulouse; British forces defeat the French under Marshall Soult.
1858: The bell 'Big Ben' is cast; it now rings in London.
